What makes us different

1. Inspire is a not an expedition company.

We specialise in sustainable community service projects working in partnership with charities in the developing world.

2. We provide Link Partner Charities, so you can develop an on-going relationship involving your whole organisation not just the team of people going overseas.

Our core aim is to offer organisations the opportunity to develop an on-going link with a partner charity. Schools or Organisations will be linked with a specific school/community who they can develop links with over several years.

3.  All our community projects are supported year-round by professional charities or small-scale community groups, based in the countries where the project is based.

We do not go looking for new projects every year. Instead we work with long-term charitable partners who we know and trust and who will maintain and manage any projects our volunteer groups complete. All our projects are requested and maintained by the community and are part of long-term plans which our partner charities monitor and maintain.

4. An allocated, named project specifically for you.

All groups are allocated a specific project which they alone are asked to fundraise for. The donation amount requested directly relates to the cost needs for that project. The money raised is used to complete this specific project during the team’s time overseas and covers all material costs, local labour and staff time to get the project completed. Teams are told their project at the beginning of the trip process, so they can fundraise specifically for this project.

5. All our trips are tailor-made.

Inspire do not run 'fit-all' trips. We also do not insist that you join with other groups to make up numbers. Every single trip is tailor-made to your needs and that of our local communities. We can easily add on a safari or trek at the end - but our specialism is working with you and our partner charities to create a trip which meets everyone's expectations and has a truly positive impact.

6. Your charitable donation is made directly to your charity partner.

Inspire believe that you deserve to know exactly where and what any charitable donation you raise is used for. For this reason, we ask you to make your charitable donations for your project directly to the charity partner. We do not take a cut of any charitable donations, but we work closely with our charity partners to ensure your donations are used for your project and on-going support for the work of the charity in that area. Each of our charity partners is personally vetted by one of Inspire's Directors both in the UK and at their project sites overseas.

7. Education and Development are at our core.

We provide two training sessions as a minimum to all groups that go overseas.

The first session enables team members to gain a greater understand of the issues surrounding poverty and development in the country where they are going to be working, followed by our teamwork and leadership skills session and an interactive student-led fundraising workshop to help the team develop practical and relevant ideas for raising the trip costs.

The second session covers cultural awareness, responsible travel, travel safety and preparation for the trip ahead.
