Calabash Trust envisage the urban townships in and around Port Elizabeth as an attractive, vibrant place, respected by its residents and visitors. Schools are fully equipped with resources and act as centres of learning for the whole community.
Calabash Trust engages with schools and communities as equal partners, recognising the opportunity for mutual learning. They promote sustainable development by working with schools and communities who illustrate ownership and responsibility of their initiatives and projects.
Calabash Trust projects are identified by schools and communities, ensuring that they are based on the community’s vision and that they serve as a catalyst for further projects.
